Dear Parents Firstly, we would like to thank you for sending your child to IYMA. In order to receive best results from the Madrasa, the Madrasa staff and management would be grateful if you could read and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Madrasa and in particular, follow the guidelines below:


Uniform, Punctuality & Timings:

 

1. Your child must dress Islamically. Your child MUST adhere to the Madrasa uniform policy. (Boys with white topee, white salwaar AND kamees / white jubba, NOT trousers or tracksuit bottoms. Adopting the practice of the beard is also necessary for the more mature male students.

 

2. Girls must dress in a white head scarf waist length and a black Jabba/long Burqa.)

 

3. During the winter months please encourage your child to wear hi vis clothing.

 

4. Please avoid unIslamic haircuts: uneven hair lengths, wedges or short back and sides etc for boys.

 

5. Minimise absences and avoid appointments during Madrasa hours. ALL absences must be supported with a parental letter on return. Current Timings: Second shift: 6:15pm to 7:30pm

 

6. Avoid arriving late to madrasa. Pupils should try to be on the premises between 6:10pm and 6:15 for second shift. Please avoid arriving too early as students from the first shift will be leaving.


Fees & misc:

 

7. Fees must be paid Termly.

 

8. The fee can be paid directly into the Masjid Account which is the preferred method. Please reference the payment your child’s name on it. If you have more than one child, please make separate transactions.

9. The fee if paid in cash must be placed in an envelope with your child’s name clearly written on it, indicating the amount, Ustaad’s / Apaa’s name and date sent.

 

10. Assist your child with their “Sabak” at home. Also encourage them to perform Salaah and other practices of Islam.

 

11. Discipline and respect for elders and love for youngsters will be highly promoted at the Madrasa, please continue to promote these and all madrasa teachings at home.

 

12. Ensure your child attends madrasa with the appropriate books and necessary stationery. Please send your child with all the books and Qaida’s they have. If they require any resources, the madrasa will give them to your child and money can be sent the following day.

 

13. Relieve your child of any needs (Toilet, Wudhu etc.) before sending them to Madrasa as the Madrasa facilities are closed for now and generally are very limited.

 

14. No mobile phones or gadgets are allowed! In the event of your child bringing a mobile or banned item to madrasa, it will be taken off them. It will be the parents’ duty to collect the confiscated item from the Imam sahib.

 

15. Please make sure you child does not come to madrasa with any unnecessary valuables, this includes expensive clothing and footwear.

 

16. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to communicate them to the Madrasa.

 

17. Parents etc are not allowed to enter the classroom or discuss madrasa matters during teaching times. Prior appointments / arrangements must be made.


Car Parking / Picking up and dropping off your child:

 

IYMA is situated in a very residential area. Our beloved religion, Islam instructs us not to cause any form of inconvenience to others. Therefore, we ask parents NOT to drive into Thirlmere Gardens as there will be no access from this street and use the main road, IDLE Road for parking etc. Please walk up the car park and pick up your child.

 

18. Age 7 and above will be allowed to leave on time. Pupils aged 5 & 6 will be handed over to the parent / allocated person.

 

19. The car park will be used as a walk way by students and parents.

 

20. Finally, if you would like to discuss any Madrasa matters, please approach the Imam Sahib or text IYMA mobile number with your query and management will get back to you asap.

As these are early days, there will be some teething issues etc. We ask you to work with us so we can provide the best service and khidmat for your child. IYMA Management
